How to make Chicken Tikka Biryani


Chicken Tikka Biryani is one of the most consumed biryani. The main ingredient used to make it is Chicken (Bone or boneless depending upon your choice) and best basmati rice.

It is one dish that is usually made on all special occasions.

Ingredients Required

1 kg of chicken
1/2 kg boiled rice
1 tblspn ginger-garlic paste
3 tblspn vinegar
1 tspn red chili powder
1 tspn ground black pepper
1 tsnp garam masala powder
1/4 tspn food coloring (orange or yellow depending)
salt to taste
1/3 cup oil

How to make Spices 

1 cup yogurt
1 tspn red chili powder
2 tblspn fresh coriander leaves (finely chopped)
4 tomatoes (paste)
2 chopped onions
1/2 tspn turmeric powder
1/2 coriander powder
10- 15 mint leaves
4 green chilies (finely chopped)
1 cup oil

Method:

Marinate the chicken as usual with vinegar, red chilli, spices powder, ginger garlic paste, black pepper powder, food color and 1 tbsp salt for overnight hours.

This ensures that all the spices are sucked in the chicken

Take a pan and add oil in it and cook chicken for 20 minutes until it becomes tender.

Steam it with coal to make it smoky.


Method to make spice (Masala):

Take a pan and heat oil in it. Add onions to it till they become golden brown.

Add tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cook well.

Add yogurt and cook again.

Add coriander leaves, mint leaves and green chillies with chicken and mix well.

Boil rice with 2 teaspoon salt and all spice.

Take a big vessel and make make layers

One of rice followed by of spice and third layer of chicken pieces then steam for a while.

Take off heat, mix properly and serve hot.

The chicken tikka biryani is ready to be served. You can serve it with raita to add more value to it.
